This beautiful drawing comes to us via the Burt Reynolds Estate. Hulings would often work through visual ideas before they found a final form in a painting. Pepito and his burro ended up in the long grass with a second donkey in tow in the 1969 20 x 30″ oil Pepito on Donkey Leading Donkey.
