Italian Riviera, 1999 "Finding good subject matter for paintings is often serendipitous. Our daughter, Elizabeth, forgot her glasses in a hotel one morning and broke our itinerary. While waiting for them to arrive on the evening bus we wandered down a nearby peninsula and found this lovely fortified town.
