Jack Morris: Hulings’ Enduring Value

“The experience with Clark and his work has been one of the most exciting aspects of my professional career.”

Gallerist Jack A. Morris Jr. is one of the world’s foremost experts on Clark Hulings. In this second video in our Haverford College series, Jack discusses Hulings’ easel painting years. With his dual perspectives on the artistic importance and market value of Hulings’ key works, Jack walks us through the creative evolution of Beyond Woodville and the composition of Kaibab Trail-Winter. The provenance and sales histories of Kaleidoscope, The Pink Parasol, and Windrush Plantation are case-studies for how well Hulings’ work has performed in the market over so many years.

This event was co-produced by Mitchell Cohn, a member of the CHF Advisory Board and a Haverford Alumnus. Thank you, Mitchell!
